Metallica TV have interviewed a number of of the Metallica’s followers who made long-distance journeys to see the group perform in Copenhagen last month.
They performed 2 shows at the Danish city’s Royal Arena in February, with the band’s vocalist and guitarist James Hetfield taking time out to highlight flags from all over the world throughout one of the sets.
He says: “The Metallica family of Copenhagen – but I do see flags for kind of everywhere which is beautiful. That people travel to see Metallica still blows my mind. After 35 years, we’re up here doing what we love and you must be loving it too.”
The channel then catch up with Daria and Aleksander who travelled from Oslo to Copenhagen, Johan, who made the journey from Sweden, and Haider, who came from Iraq to see Metallica perform.
Daria says: “We are following the band because we love them and love the music, but it’s not only the band – we are a family, so the tour is the time when we can meet together with the people of Sweden, Mexico, so it’s not only the band, it’s the Metallica family.”
The band have also published a live video footage showcasing of Enter Sandman, filmed in Los Angeles on February 12. Both videos can be seen beneath.
