Halestorm is one of those bands that does not appear to draw much animosity from the heavier crowd, regardless of being a mainstream metal band. Although I think it is hard to hate them, even if only because Lzzy Hale is such a goddamn good vocalist.
A nice, nice example of her vocal expertise is the beneath cover of Metallica’s “Ride The Lightning.” Metallica plays the track just fantastic and without many surprises, although Hale’s vocals put the entire thing over the top.
