
Dave Mustaine has responded to Kirk Hammett’s comments in regards to the Megadeth frontman’s dismissal from Metallica – saying his replacement is “virtually 100% correct” in his assessment of the scenario.
Dave Mustaine was thrown out of Ulrich’s band in 1983 and went on to form Megadeth, however spend almost 3 decades expressing negative views about his former colleagues and their work.
Relations have thawed lately, with Dave Mustaine having performed alongside Metallica, and Kirk Hammett – his replacement – playing alongside.
Kirk Hammett mentioned over the weekend thst the other guitarist will need to have been “pissed off” over his treatment within the 1980s, and that he felt “loads of empathy” for him, including that he hoped their current experiences had “healed some scars.”
Now Dave Mustaine has responded by tweeting: “I’ve tremendous respect for Kirk Hammett and I appreciated his take on this. He’s nearly 100% accurate… nearly. I wish him the very best.”
Responding to a fan remark about his “frustration” he provides: “Old news. I want him properly. I do know I’m well!”
In the meantime, Metallica frontman Hetfield has provided a reflection on the distinction between the Metallica’s early days and their present period.
He reports that the band have a modified strategy to getting ready for shows – particularly since he stopped drinking a number of years in the past.
James Hetfield tells Jam that right now they are more desirous about “just soaking up the energy or the vibe of the place” and provides: “We’ve a physical therapist on the road, so he is stretching us out, ensuring we’re in form.
